Jennifer Barker, Creative Design Director
Jen is our creative director and responsible for all of our design work. Following studies in Glass Design at Wolverhampton and Staffordshire Universities, Jen set up her first studio in 1997 and then founded Melt Designs a couple of years later. A leader in her field, Jen’s in-depth knowledge of various glass processes means she can always match our client’s expectations for stunning glass art solutions that are perfect for their space.
Gary Burgess, Managing Director
Jen’s business partner and co-founder of the company, Gary manages the business side of Melt Designs is the first point of contact for customers, architects and interiors designers. Gary ensures that on each project, no matter how small, we provide the highest level of customer service from initial contact through to installation. As a CAD and graphics specialist, he also takes on a project management role and oversees any glass installations.
Ruby MacLennen, Head of Operational Project Management
Ruby ensures smooth delivery of all of our projects from initial commission to installation. As a direct support to Jen, she is responsible for planning and scheduling with regards to materials, fabrication and installation. Ruby also manages our marketing and promotional web-based activities and maintains our ever-increasing data-bank of project images.
